About Us
Our Association
Maitland District Netball Association began in 1947 and has grown to more than 2,500 members. Our Association provides competitive and social netball opportunities for all participants who want to play, umpire or coach, and welcome all ages and levels of experience and ability.
Our association values friendship, community spirit, teamwork and respect to all members – from our volunteers to our umpires and parents.
Our Volunteers and Life Members are active and engaged members in our organisation, and we are grateful and thankful for their outstanding contributions to the development of netball with us. Without their support we wouldn’t be able to do what we do!
Our History
- Our Organisation started in 1947
- 75 Years operating as Maitland Netball
- We have 32 courts of Australian standard
- There are more than 20 Clubs with teams playing in our competition
- The Clubroom was opened in 2016 following a grant from NSW Sports & Recreation and in partnership with Maitland Netball and Maitland City Council
- The 32 courts were fully re-built in two stages: 17 courts with a grant from Stronger Country Communities and the Maitland Netball Association; and a further 15 courts with a grant from NSW and in partnership with Maitland Netball and Maitland City Council.

WINTER COMPETITION
- All registrations for winter competition are done through a club.
- If you want to join a team, contact a club near you and they will help you find a team.
- Maitland Netball does not take direct registrations for this competition, you must join a club.
